Fibre Mood - TAVIO Shorts Sewing Pattern

At first glance, Tavio looks like a simple pair of sports shorts, but look again. Inside, you'll findbuilt-in panties for extra comfort. The diagonal lines are flattering - yes, even around your bottom - and the waistband includes an insert with elastic, plus the option to thread in a cord or ribbon for a decorative finish. The edges are neatly finished with bias tape, either self-cut from your fabric or purchased separately. Ideal for the runners, yogis or cyclists among us.

Fabric recommendations:

For the short: Fabric type: Choose a lightweight, woven sports fabric such as microfiber, nylon taslan, modal, or polyester ripstop.

Features: Quick-drying, breathable and possibly water-repellent or with a light stretch.

Weight: Lightweight (approx. 80-130 g/m2) for optimal freedom of movement.

For the built-in panties: Fabric type: Soft stretch knit or sports jersey (e.g. polyamide-elastane or bamboo-elastane).

Features: Moisture-regulating, stretchable in both directions, and skin-friendly.

Fibre content: At least 10% elastane for a good fit and comfort during movement.

Finishing tip: Use flatlock or stretch stitches to prevent chafing.
