Cousette - Bronzette Dress Sewing Pattern

BRONZETTE is THE summer dress of excellence. A glamorous backless dress with a straight cut, it reaches below the calf and has a slit on the left side. The upper part of the dress consists of a fitted bodice, held by thin crossed straps at the back, which pass through slides before being knotted. The top of the skirt, enhanced with gathers, is sewn only on the front. The back, on the other hand, is diving below the waist and held thanks to an elastic band.

Supplies needed:

Fabric: 

Fabric for all sizes (size 140 cm): 265 cm

Fusible Bias tape from 80 to 110 cm (this is to stabilise the top of the bodice. A strip of interfacing can be used in place of fusible bias tape)

Elastic of 6-7 mm: from 35 to 52 cm

Recommended fabrics: 

We advise you to use fluid and opaque materials such as viscose, crepe and cotton voile.
